"Human babies start out with the ability to recognize a wide range of faces, even among races or species different from their own, according to a new study.
The researchers focused on face processing—the ability to recognize and categorize faces, determine identity and gender, and read emotions. Their findings suggest that, in humans, this skill is a case of "use it or lose it."
In the study six-month-old infants were able to recognize the faces of individuals of a different species—in this case, monkeys. Babies who received visual training retained the ability. But those with no training lost the skill by the time they were nine months old.
Led by Olivier Pascalis, a psychologist at England's University of Sheffield, the team reported their findings in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences."

| Choose between 10 photos or 20 photos. Each photo contain one or more family members. If you have a really large family, you can group one whole family in one square or put couples together. If you have a small family, you can use a couple of photos for each family member. |

| When submitting your photos by mail, please write the names of each person in the photo in the order you would like them to appear on your quilt. If you are uploading your photo digitally or emailing your photos, please rename each file with the names you wish (ie. Cley.jpg or GrandmaandGrandpa.jpg). |

| Photos can be submitted in color - we will make them black and white or pastel. Color photos and black and white photos look great together. If some of your photos are color and a few are black and white, select the "Color Photo" option and we will leave the color photos in color and the black and white photos in black and white. Pastel photos are color photos that are de saturated just a tad. |

A gift certificate for a handmade, personalized baby photo quilt is the perfect gift. Select the amount of photos you wish to purchase. When the recipient is ready to redeem their certificate, they will contact The Younique Boutique either by phone or email. We will supply them with all of their options.
Please note: The price for a Gift Certificate is $15.00 more than the quilt. This is because we automatically charge you the $15.00 scanning charge. This way, when the recipient redeems their certificate, they won't have any fees to pay. Shipping charges are also charged at the time you purchase the gift certificate so that the recipient doesn't have shipping to pay.
Gift certificates can be delivered to you in several ways: 1) We can send a paper version of the certificate to you in the mail with a first class stamp (no additional charge); 2) We can email the file to your email address (no additional charge); 3) We can email the recipient the file directly ( (no additional charge); 4) We can overnight a printed certificate to your address ($15.00 charge) or 5) We can overnight a printed certificate to the recipient's address ($15.00 charge). |

| Photos can be submitted one of four ways: |
 1) After your order has been submitted, you can go directly to our File Upload Tool. The link to access the File Upload Tool will also be included in your confirmation email. You can upload files whenever you are ready and you can also send the link to your friends and family to upload their files if need be. Files should be no larger than 300dpi or smaller than 200 dpi. We can work with JPGs, TIFs, BMPs and PDFs. Please name each file with the corresponding names you wish printed beneath each photo. The File Upload Tool allows you to upload the files and then easily rename them. |
 2) Submit your photos via email to photos@tybinc.com. We suggest breaking your emails up into batches of no more than 5 files an email. Please include the name you are placing your order under in the subject line of your emails. Files should be no larger than 300dpi or smaller than 200 dpi. We can work with JPGs, TIFs, BMPs and PDFs. Please name each file with the corresponding names you wish printed beneath each photo. |
 3) Submit your photos on a disc. We prefer your photos to be no larger than 300dpi and no smaller that 200dpi. If you are ordering more than 1 quilt, please create separate folders for each quilt (ie. quilt 1, quilt 2...) and save the photos to those folders. Please do not create separate folders for each photo. Name each file with the corresponding names you wish printed beneath each photo.

 4) Submit your original photos by mail. There is a $15 scanning charge. We will not damage your photos in any way. We will scan them and send them back to you with your quilt. If you don't want to write on the back of the photos, use sticky notes. Please do not send photocopies as the quality is generally not very good. Photos can be any size (between a wallet size and an 8 x 10). Please write the corresponding names you wish printed beneath each photo on the back of each photo or attach a sticky note.

| Please do not use an image sharing program like Picassa, MSN, Yahoo or Flickr to send your photos. If your photos are stored in an image sharing program, first download them to your PC and then submit them using the File Upload Tool, by email as attachments or on a disc. |
| Generally, we can work with most photos. There are few instances when we have to reject a photo. Usually, it is because the image was pulled from a web page and it is very small and low resolution. In this case, we will call the customer and ask for a replacement. Dark photos can usually be lightened in photo shop. Faded photos can usually be worked on to get more contrast. If you are unsure about your photos, email the smallest photos to photos@tybinc.com. Typically, anything under 20k in file size is too small. |

| Please allow 3 weeks for delivery. The clock starts when we receive your order information, payment, and all of your photos. Work does not begin on your quilt until we have received all of your photos. If you need your quilt sooner than 3 weeks from today, please select the RUSH ORDER option for an additional $35 charge. With a rush order, we can usually ship your quilt by the following business day (once all of your photos have been received.) Your quilt ships from San Diego California.
