1) Before the wedding, prepare your Porcelaine 150
marker for use. Shake the marker with the cap on about
20 times. Take the cap off and depress the tip on a
piece of scratch paper a few times. Replace the cap
and shake 20 more times. Depress the tip again. When
black ink saturates the marker tip, your marker is ready
for use.
2) The Porcelaine 150 marker ink takes about 1 minute
to dry. To avoid smudging, try to sign the platter without
resting your hand on it.
3) Set the guest instruction card out by your platter
and marker. It's a good idea to have one of your attendants
keep an eye on the platter table. Children should be
encouraged to sign but only under the supervision of
an adult.
4) After the big day, allow your guest book platter
to dry for a minimum of 24 hours. To fire signatures
onto the platter, bake in your home oven for thirty
minutes at 300°F (149°C). Set the platter in
the oven as it heats up. After the thirty minutes have
passed, allow your platter to cool down with the oven.
5) Your signature platter is now ready to use! The
signatures won't come off in the dishwasher or under
hot water. Do not use abrasive detergents to clean your
platter or abrasive cleaning tools like scouring pads.
Avoid using sharp knives on your platter.
6) Porcelaine 150 Paint Markers contain no toxic ingredients,
and conform to ASTM D-4236. Finished pieces can be used
to serve food.
7) That's all there is to it! Enjoy your platter for
years to come. We appreciate your business,
